My coaching journey started as a client, a couple of years ago when I went through a difficult time and came close to burnout. Despite leading a healthy lifestyle and following a daily routine that included meditation, exercise, and a balanced diet, I woke up every morning feeling demotivated and drained of energy. I struggled with self-doubt and a sense of overwhelm that left me feeling trapped and without a way out.
Eventually, I realized that I was "filling a bathtub with a big hole," and that I needed to fix the underlying issues before I could truly thrive. At the time, my family pressured me into seeking a quick fix from a doctor, who prescribed anti-depressants. But I knew that relying on medication to feel good was not a long-term solution. I needed to take control of my life, understand my priorities, and redefine my goals.
That's when I decided to embark on a coaching journey. I enrolled in two coaching programs: a life coaching program that helped me regain my confidence and motivation, and a career coaching program that enabled me to identify my values, needs, and drivers.
Through deep introspection and guidance from my coach, I discovered that CONNECTION, MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT, and CONTINUOUS LEARNING are the three things that truly drive me.
As a coach, I believe that these drivers are fundamental to building rapport and trust with my clients. By understanding their values, needs, and motivations, I can help them identify mental blocks, guide them through transformation, and support them in achieving their goals. And because I believe that being a great coach is a work in progress, I also prioritize continuous learning and growth.
A couple of years later, after 18 years within the corporate world, a Coaching Certification from Jay Shetty Certification School, and +70 hours of coaching, I decided to fully dedicate my time and energy to empowering and, guiding my clients to define and achieve their goals, in alignment with their authentic selves.
For me, coaching is not just a skill set or a job; it's a mindset and a lifestyle. And my own experience has taught me two key lessons: first, that it's important to know yourself deeply before setting goals, and second, that setting intentions is a powerful way to achieve your objectives. Intentions allow us to stay aligned with our values and remind us of the bigger picture.
